Sonya's Garden w/ family + Red Box w/ friends

(Sept.17)
As soon as i saw the sun peeked out that morning, i knew it was gonna be a promising day... The heavy rains had finally stopped... and i knew just where to go on that beautiful Saturday... Tagaytay!!!

We waited for Mom and Ray to finish with their lunch engagement and we then proceeded to Sonya's Garden (i finally had a reason to go - tour Ray there!). The place was exactly as i remembered it... awesome! The abundant flora, courteous and accommodating staff, beautiful surroundings and cool breeze all adds up to a relaxing time. We even checked out one of the rooms at the Bed and Breakfast and it was really nice! We then strolled along the once-secret garden and posed for pics. =)

Of course, the dining experience was another one to rave about. Upon being seated at the cozy dining room, one would immediately notice the unique table setting. In every seat, the plates do not match but that only enhances the charm of the place... it actually IS nice.

Salad was served first... I've been craving for Sonya's salad a few months back and i just had to take two huge helpings of it... hahah! Who could say no to that assorted greens (plus a few edible flowers) picked from their own garden, which u can top (all-u-can) with carrots, turnips, cucumber, egg, mango, jackfruit, pineapple, nuts and cheese, plus the super secret dressing! uhmm!!! :p Fresh dalandan juice with mint leaves complement the whole meal.

Freshly baked bread with assorted spreads (various pate', pesto, white cheese) and the pasta followed. You can choose whether u like white sauce, or tomato-based sauce or u can even combine it if u like! Chunks of chicken, shrimps, mushrooms, capers, olives, parmesan cheeese and garlic powder complete this part of the meal.

Afterwards, we were each given a cup of hot water with tarragon leaves to wash it all away. It was surprisingly refreshing! The last time we were here, it was mint leaves. And just as some of them thought it was over, the desserts came! Turon with langka and minatamis na camote capped off the whole meal. Needless to say, we were all stuffed. The long trip was all so worth it.

Despite the lack of variety in the meal they serve, I am definitely coming back... (and from what i've heard from my mom, Ray loved it there too!) =)

~~~
We got back home at around 9pm and after dropping Ray, Mom and Peng off, we met with Yna and Aion for another Saturday gimmick... this time at Redbox in Greenbelt 3.
All of us are into Rockstar INXS (the newest reality TV show hit) that we were all in the mood to sing ala rockstar! ;) And we surely did rock the night (and the morning) away... Fun was definitely an understatement!
Check out all of the pics of the days' adventure (Sonya's and Redbox) here.
